This Privacy Policy explains how Arkansas Pondstockers, Inc. (“Arkansas Pondstockers,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit arkansaspondstockers.com (the “Site”), contact us, or use our services. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
We collect information you give us directly, including when you:
- Submit our contact form or store-nomination form (for example, your name, email address, phone number, business or pond location, and the contents of your message);
- Sign up to receive Fish Day notifications or other email updates;
- Start a live chat with us; or
- Call or email us.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information about your device and activity, including your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring and exit pages, pages viewed, links clicked, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this information using cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies and Tracking Technologies” below).
Phone-call information
We use call-tracking technology (CallRail) to understand which marketing sources lead to phone calls. When you call a number displayed on the Site, we may collect your phone number, the date, time, and duration of the call, and the marketing source associated with your visit. Calls may be recorded for quality and training purposes where applicable.
Approximate location
Our Fish Day finder and stocking calculator ask for a ZIP code so we can show relevant results. We may also infer your approximate location from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location from your device.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and support advertising. For example, we store your most recent store-finder search in your browser’s local storage so returning visitors see their last result. The main third-party technologies we use are:
- Google Analytics 4 — website analytics and traffic measurement;
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel — advertising measurement and audience building;
- CallRail — phone-call tracking and attribution;
- Cloudflare Turnstile — bot and spam protection on our forms.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works. Because there is no industry-standard response to browser “Do Not Track” signals, we do not currently respond to them; however, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals (such as the Global Privacy Control) as described under “Your California Privacy Rights.”
How We Use Your Information
- Provide, operate, and improve the Site and our services;
- Respond to your inquiries, quote requests, and store nominations;
- Send you Fish Day notifications and other updates you request, and manage those email communications;
- Measure and analyze how the Site is used;
- Deliver and measure advertising, including retargeting/remarketing (see below);
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, spam, security, and technical issues; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information as follows:
- Service providers. With vendors who perform services on our behalf — such as website hosting, form and email delivery, analytics, call tracking, live chat, mapping, and spam protection — who are permitted to use the information only to provide those services.
- Advertising and analytics partners. With Google and Meta so we can measure the Site’s performance and show you relevant ads, including retargeting/remarketing on their platforms. Under some state laws, this may be considered “sharing” or a “sale” of personal information for targeted advertising.
- Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is required by law, or is necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Advertising and Analytics
We use Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to understand Site traffic and to run and measure advertising, including retargeting/remarketing — showing you our ads on Google, Facebook, Instagram, and their partner networks after you visit the Site. You can control this advertising:
- Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout;
- Google Ads settings: adssettings.google.com;
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ad preferences, in your account settings; and
- Industry opt-out tools: optout.aboutads.info (DAA) and optout.networkadvertising.org (NAI).
Email Communications
If you sign up for Fish Day notifications or other updates, we will send you emails related to those services. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us at contact@arkansaspondstockers.com. We may still send you non-promotional messages, such as responses to your inquiries.
Third-Party Services
The Site relies on the following third parties, each of which handles data under its own privacy policy: Google (Analytics, Ads, Maps/Street View), Meta (Pixel), CallRail (call tracking), Cloudflare (hosting and Turnstile), Sanity (content management), Resend (email delivery), and Social Intents (live chat). We encourage you to review their privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites linked from the Site.
Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, after which we delete or de-identify it.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for a general, adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you certain rights regarding your personal information.
In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name, email address, phone number, and IP address); commercial information (such as inquiries and requests); internet or network activity (such as browsing and interaction data); approximate geolocation (such as a ZIP code or IP-based location); audio information (where calls are recorded); and inferences drawn for advertising. We collect this information from you directly and automatically through the technologies described above, for the purposes described in “How We Use Your Information.”
Subject to certain exceptions, you have the right to:
- Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you;
- Delete personal information we have collected from you;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information for targeted advertising; and
- Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
Our use of Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel for advertising may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. To opt out, you can use the advertising controls listed under “Advertising and Analytics,” enable a recognized opt-out preference signal such as the Global Privacy Control in your browser, or contact us at contact@arkansaspondstockers.com. To exercise any of these rights, email us or write to us at the address below; we may need to verify your identity before responding. You may also use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
