Note: the stocking rates in these plans are tailored to ponds or lakes that meet the following requirements:

Must not already contain a significant fish population
Maintains sustainable dissolved oxygen levels
Maintains at least four feet of water over the vast majority of the surface area
Water isn’t harmful to fish (significantly bad pH, disease or parasites, dangerous levels of toxic chemicals, etc.)
No other factors that would inhibit fish health or growth (an overabundance of snakes, turtles, fish-eating birds, etc.)
